Prosilica's large array of industrial firewire cameras just became even larger with the release of the ultra-compact EC1600 CCD camera. This super-small, 2-megapixel machine vision camera is light-weight, high resolution (1620x1220) and runs 15 frames per second (faster with region-of-interest readout). The EC1600 is the latest in a series of high-quality CCD cameras from Prosilica intended for the machine vision market and is available in monochrome or color versions.
The very small size, light weight, and rugged design of the EC1600 make it suitable for a wide range of demanding applications. The exceptional image quality, high resolution, and fast frame rates make the EC1600 particularly suited for applications such as LCD panel inspection, PCB inspection, semiconductor imaging, ATM bank machines, traffic imaging, and machine vision. Like other Prosilica firewire cameras, the EC1600 is DCAM-compliant (IIDC1.31) and works with a wide range of third-party software as well as Prosilica's own SDK and software.
