Prosilica will demonstrate their GE-Series gigabit Ethernet cameras at the Vision Show East in Boston, May 9-11, 2006. Prosilica’s GE-Series are believed to be the only cameras currently shipping to customers that comply with the GigE Vision™ standard. Although GigE Vision is a brand new standard, Prosilica GE-Series cameras are already being used in applications including manufacturing inspection, print inspection, public security, undersea imaging, and aerospace.

Prosilica has been shipping their GE-Series cameras to delighted customers around the globe for several months now. Industry leaders National Instruments, Matrox, Stemmer Imaging, Norpix and other major software vendors have used Prosilica’s GE-Series cameras to develop and test GigE Vision interfaces for their software products. Several of these companies will demonstrate their machine vision software running Prosilica cameras at the Vision Show East.

The GigE Vision standard will be publicly released during the Vision East show in two weeks time. Prosilica is co-sponsoring a GigE Vision release party in the evening of the first day of the show for all show attendees. Prosilica invites everyone to come and toast the success of the AIA GigE Vision standard and to have a first-hand look at Prosilica’s GE-Series cameras.
