Prosilica's
FB1394B Fiber Bridge Set extends firewire transmission to 500
meters over fiber optic cable!* The FB1394B will take any IEEE-1394
input and transmit it over fiber optic (1394b-optical) and output
to the host computer's standard IEEE-1394 port.
There
are three firewire connections on each unit: IEEE-1394b-optical,
IEEE-1394a and IEEE-1394b-bilingual.
The
FB1394B package includes the repeater pair (two units) and two
power supplies. Fiber optic cables must be ordered separately
and are available from Prosilica in various lengths.
*longer
distances up to 1000 meters may be possible, but this has not
been tested by Prosilica.
The FB1394B units have mounting holes compatible with National Instruments DIN rail mount adaptor p/n: 189154-01
